A Tybee Island lighthouse poster seen from the dunes on Georgia's outermost barrier island. The banded tower stands against a deep teal sky with its black lantern gallery on top, the keeper's cottage sits low beside it under an orange tile roof, and the whole foreground is filled with wind-combed sea oats leaning in one direction across a sandy path.
About the artwork
Screen-print style illustration with fine linework: every stalk of dune grass is drawn as an individual stroke, while the tower and cottage are built from flat blocks. The palette runs warm and low — wheat, honey and bronze in the grasses, sand and shadow blue in the dune hollows — against a saturated petrol blue sky, with the lighthouse reading as three crisp bands of black, white and black. Details to look for: the seed heads catching light at the top of the grass, the small windows and porch of the keeper's dwelling, the thin blue-white cloud streaks near the horizon, and the shrub line separating dune from station. Typography is white sans-serif reading TYBEE ISLAND with GEORGIA below. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Dune-level view — the sea oats take two thirds of the frame, so this reads as a coastal landscape first.
- The banded tower — Georgia's tallest lighthouse, unmistakable in black and white.
- Gold against teal — a warm-cool pairing that carries a whole wall.
- Savannah's beach — the island people drive out to, drawn at the light station rather than the pier.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The honey and bronze grasses make this one of the warmest coastal prints we make, and it sits beautifully in the arched niche with pampas grass in the photographs above, where the dried stems echo the sea oats. Cream, oatmeal and clay walls suit it; on white it looks crisper and the teal sky comes forward. A natural oak or espresso frame keeps the warmth, black frames tighten the lighthouse bands. Good over a bed or a dining sideboard.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The grass detail is fine, so avoid the smallest sizes. 18" x 24" works on a narrow wall; 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" over a bed or sofa lets the individual stalks show.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame, wired and ready to hang.
What does the poster say? The lettering reads TYBEE ISLAND with GEORGIA beneath. The tower shown is the Tybee Island Light Station, east of Savannah.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
