A Tokyo Tower print in warm retro color for the living room. The red and white tower rises in front, Mount Fuji stands faint behind it, and an orange sun hangs in a turquoise sky over a pagoda and city buildings. "TOKYO" sits on a red band along the bottom. It is the city's landmark with the mountain keeping it company.
About the artwork
Red and white on the tower, orange for the sun, turquoise for the sky: the palette is built on warm against cool. Tokyo Tower takes the lead, with Mount Fuji softened into the distance so the two read at different depths. A pagoda and a row of buildings fill out the scene, drawn in the flat shapes of a retro poster. The only lettering is "TOKYO", set on a red band at the bottom. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Tower first, mountain second. Tokyo Tower leads and Mount Fuji fades behind it, which gives the print real depth.
- Turquoise sky, orange sun. The warm-cool contrast keeps the colors lively without tipping into neon.
- Fuji in the distance. Japan's highest peak, 3,776 m, appears as a soft shape behind the city.
- Tradition in the mix. A pagoda sits among the buildings, so the skyline mixes old and new.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This works in a living room with white, sand or terracotta walls, where the red tower picks up warm tones. Try it at 30" x 40" above a sofa, or 18" x 24" on a narrow wall beside a window. Teak or walnut furniture and a turquoise vase or throw tie it together. Pair it with an ukiyo-e style Mount Fuji print so the mountain appears twice, once far and once near.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What is behind the tower? Mount Fuji, drawn faint so it sits far behind Tokyo Tower, with an orange sun in a turquoise sky.
Which size for a narrow wall? 18" x 24" suits a narrow wall or the space beside a window. For a wide wall above a sofa, 30" x 40" makes the tower the focal point.
Will the red clash with a colorful room? The red is balanced by the turquoise sky, so it pairs easily with blues and greens. Keep other reds to a small accent or two.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
