A Tokyo neon print for a living room that comes alive in the evening. Red lanterns and neon signs line an alley at night, and a red pagoda waits at the far end. The teal and red palette gives it the glow of a street you want to keep walking down after dinner.
About the artwork
Teal and red set the tone of the whole picture: red for the lanterns, the neon signs and the pagoda, teal for the night around them. The alley works as a corridor that draws the eye toward the pagoda at its end, so the modern signs lead straight to the traditional building. It is drawn in a retro poster style with a nighttime glow. The lettering includes "TOKYO" and "JAPAN". Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- A path to follow. The alley leads the eye straight to the red pagoda at its end.
- Old and new in one street. Neon signs and a traditional pagoda share the same night scene.
- Two-color night. Teal and red keep the scene vivid without turning muddy.
- Lantern warmth. Red lanterns add warm points of light that suit lamp-lit evenings.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it at the end of a living room sightline, above a console or a dark sofa, so the alley seems to continue the room. Teal and red look good on a charcoal, deep teal or warm white wall, with brass lamps and dark wood. 24" x 36" works for a main wall; 16" x 24" suits a narrow space by a doorway. A black wood frame deepens the night. Pair it with a ramen cat print for a playful late-night theme.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Does the print suit a dark wall? Yes. The red lanterns and pagoda stand out against charcoal or deep teal walls, and a black frame blends into the wall.
What makes it different from a daytime Tokyo print? It is set at night, with red lanterns and neon signs lighting an alley and a red pagoda at the far end.
Which size works above a console? 16" x 24" or 18" x 24" suits a console or a narrow wall. Choose 24" x 36" if it is the only piece on the wall.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
