A Nashville Parthenon poster that catches the full-scale replica in Centennial Park from its front corner, late in the day. Low sun rakes across the Doric colonnade so the western columns burn warm ochre while the north flank drops into cool slate. Below the stylobate, mown grass stripes run toward a pale concrete plaza in the foreground.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration built from hard-edged shapes, with no outlines and no texture. The palette counts about seven working colours: deep azure sky, thin white cloud wisps at the right edge, sandstone and apricot on the lit columns, grey-green shadow on the returning side, two greens in the lawn stripes, and light grey paving. Fluting on each column is drawn as simple alternating bands. The pediment and entablature stay clean and unornamented. Type sits at the top in white sans-serif capitals: NASHVILLE, with TENNESSEE smaller beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The one building most people miss — a Greek temple rebuilt at true scale in a Tennessee city park, and the artwork treats it that way.
- Light doing the work — the whole image is built on one late-afternoon raking angle, warm face against cool flank.
- Architecture without clutter — no crowds, no cars, just columns, lawn and sky.
- Reads from across a room — big simple masses and strong colour blocks hold up at every size.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The sandstone and apricot columns sit naturally against warm neutrals — oatmeal, clay, unbleached linen — and the azure sky keeps the whole thing from going flat. It works well on the terracotta wall shown in the photographs above, and equally on plain white where the blue reads brightest. Oak or walnut framing picks up the ochre; black framing sharpens the sky.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Over a console or nightstand, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24" is right. Above a sofa or bed, go 24" x 36" or larger so the colonnade keeps its scale.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame, wired and ready to hang.
What does the poster say? The printed text reads NASHVILLE with TENNESSEE beneath it. The building's name does not appear on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
