A Tallahassee Florida poster seen from the lawn, through the live oaks. Spanish moss hangs in long grey strands from spreading branches, and between them stands the old capitol — red brick with a white dome and cupola, striped awnings over its windows — with the slim white tower of the newer capitol rising straight up behind it.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration with layered, hard-edged foliage rather than outlines. The palette is warm-green and clean: olive and moss for the oak canopies, chartreuse and deep green stripes across the mown lawn, grey-green Spanish moss, cinnamon-brown trunks, brick red and white for the old capitol, and a plain cerulean sky. The oak trunks in the foreground are drawn with real weight, low and branching, and mown stripes carry the eye back toward the buildings. Type at the top is thin white capitals reading TALLAHASSEE with FLORIDA letterspaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Two capitols in one frame — the domed red-brick original and the plain white tower behind it, exactly as they stand.
- Spanish moss does the work — the hanging moss and low oak limbs make it read as North Florida, not beach Florida.
- Green, not blue — a rare Florida print with no water in it, which makes it easy to pair with coastal art.
- Depth from the lawn — the striped grass in the foreground gives the composition a long, calm run-up.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The olive and chartreuse greens are made for the sage room in the photographs above, and they sit just as well on cream or clay walls. Rattan, linen and unfinished oak suit it; so does the walnut frame in the dining-nook photograph. The brick red of the old capitol gives you a single warm accent to echo in cushions or a rug.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The foliage layers open up with scale — 24" x 36" over a sideboard is ideal. In a smaller room, 16" x 24" still keeps the dome and the moss readable.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame, wired and ready to hang.
What does the poster say? TALLAHASSEE across the top, with FLORIDA letterspaced beneath it. No other text appears on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
