A Sorrento travel poster from inside the lemon groves: heavy fruit hanging on the trees in the foreground, apricot and ochre hotels standing right on the edge of the tufa cliffs above a deep blue bay, and the long profile of Vesuvius rising across the water under cumulus.
About the artwork
Three bands, each doing a different job. The foreground is the surprise — a proper citrus grove drawn tree by tree, with individual lemons picked out in cadmium yellow against dark waxy leaves, plus bougainvillea in the corner. Above it the cliff is the structural element: pale tufa in warm and cool grey, terraced gardens spilling over the edge, and the hotel facades in apricot, coral and cream with every balcony and shuttered window drawn. Behind that the sea goes from teal at the rocks to navy, and the volcano sits pale blue and hazy on the horizon with a soft plume of cloud above it. Warm foreground, cool distance — the oldest trick in landscape and it works. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Italy beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Lemons in the foreground. The detail that separates Sorrento from every other Italian coast print.
- Vesuvius in the frame. The volcano gives the view a geography nobody else has.
- Yellow, apricot and deep blue. Warm and cool in equal measure, which is why it carries a wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Sunny without being garish, and the citrus yellow makes it a natural kitchen or breakfast-room print. It suits cream, sand and pale terracotta walls, and looks right beside rattan, ceramic and light wood. Natural oak frames pick up the ochre in the buildings; black sharpens the sea. It hangs well beside the Capri or Positano prints as a Bay of Naples pair.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? From the lemon terraces above the town, looking north across the bay to the volcano.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
