A Snoqualmie Falls Washington poster seen from the overlook, level with the lip of the drop. A single white column of water falls the full height of a grey basalt gorge and lands in a boil of spray, with the river running out pale green over rock below. Douglas fir crowds both rims, ferns and moss cover the boulders in the foreground, and a dark timber lodge sits on the clifftop at the far left.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration with hard-edged shapes and stepped shading. The falling water is drawn as narrow parallel strands in white, ice blue and pale grey, opening at the base into rounded shapes of spray. The rock is a cool palette — slate, charcoal and blue-grey, with no warm brown anywhere — and the forest is stacked in four greens from a bright sunlit yellow-green on the far bank to a deep blue-green in the gorge shadow. Sword ferns in the lower corners are drawn frond by frond. The sky is a plain washed blue. Typography is a white sans-serif reading SNOQUALMIE FALLS with WASHINGTON below in smaller letterspaced caps. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The full drop in one frame — drawn from the viewpoint height, so you read the whole 268-foot fall rather than a crop of it.
- Cool, wet green — an all-cool palette of grey, blue and fir green that calms a room instead of brightening it.
- Rainforest detail — individual fern fronds and moss on the boulders, the thing that actually makes the Cascades foothills look like themselves.
- A Washington landmark of its own — separate from the state's coast and mountain scenes, and instantly recognisable to anyone from the Seattle side.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Everything in this print is cool, so it needs a wall that will not fight it. The sage green room in the photographs above is the natural home — the wall colour and the fir greens sit in the same family. It also works on white, pale grey and blue. Against the terracotta wall shown here the greys go slightly flat. Black framing suits the basalt; espresso or walnut adds the warmth the artwork itself withholds.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The tall drop suits a narrow wall between windows or beside a door. 18" x 27" fits most of those; 24" x 36" for a bedroom or office wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame, wired and ready to hang.
What does the poster say? SNOQUALMIE FALLS is printed across the top of the sky, with WASHINGTON in smaller capitals beneath it. Nothing else is lettered on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
