A Royal Pavilion Brighton poster taken from the lawns on the north side: onion domes and slender minarets rising in pale cream stucco, a long Regency terrace running away to the left, and low evening sun raking across the grass in wide green stripes.
About the artwork
The composition is built on a diagonal. A pale path enters at the bottom edge, sweeps across the lawn and carries the eye up to the Pavilion, which sits slightly right of centre. The domes are the obvious pleasure — three of them, ribbed like melons, with a ring of small pierced arches beneath the largest — but the drawing rewards a closer look: fretwork screens along the veranda, colonnettes at every window, finials on each minaret, and a stone balustrade with steps dropping to the garden. To the left the Regency terrace is reduced to a quiet rhythm of windows and chimney stacks in flat cream. The colour range is deliberately narrow: a teal sky with no cloud in it, cream stone, and grass in four or five greens separated by hard-edged shadow, with a dark mass of trees closing the right side and low planting in the corner. The lettering reads simply Brighton in wide-tracked uppercase, with England beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Domes you can pick out one by one. Every minaret, finial and fretwork screen is drawn rather than suggested.
- Low sun on the lawns. The long shadow stripes give the grass a structure most park scenes miss.
- Teal, cream and green. A calm three-colour scheme that sits quietly on a busy wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The teal sky and flat cream stone make this an easy print for a hallway or a north-facing sitting room, where the cool tones read as restful rather than cold. It works on white, pale grey and soft green walls, and beside brass, rattan and painted furniture. A light oak frame keeps the stucco warm; a slim white frame makes the domes crisper. Hang it with the Seven Sisters Cliffs print for a Sussex pair, or in a row with the London prints.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Does the print say Royal Pavilion? No. The lettering reads Brighton and England only, so the Pavilion appears in the artwork rather than in the type.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
