This Rio de Janeiro flower market wall art print pairs Christ the Redeemer with a curving beach and a garden of tropical color. It is a stylized, imaginative take on Rio de Janeiro — an artistic interpretation inspired by the city, not a literal view of its coastline.
About the artwork
A digital watercolor-style illustration with loose, wet washes that bleed softly at the edges. The Christ the Redeemer statue stands on a peak at the top, above a rounded mountain and tall buildings lining a curved shore. A golden path leads in from the foreground between palms, tropical leaves and orange-yellow blooms, under a warm cream sky. "FLOWER MARKET" sits on top in sky-blue serif capitals, with "Rio de Janeiro" handwritten in golden orange below.
Why you'll love it
- Iconic statue. Christ the Redeemer gives the scene an instant sense of place.
- Tropical energy. Turquoise sea, palm greens and orange blooms feel sunny and warm.
- Leading path. The golden path draws the eye from the flowers up to the mountain.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a living room, sunroom or bright dining area that could use warmth. It works with rattan, terracotta, white walls and green plants. A strong gift for anyone who has lived in or visited Rio, or for a beach lover's housewarming.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Rio de Janeiro? No. It is a stylized, dreamlike interpretation of Rio de Janeiro. You see the Christ the Redeemer statue, a curved beach, palms and tropical flowers arranged for the poster, not an exact view.
What text is printed on it? It reads "FLOWER MARKET" at the top, then "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION" and "NO. 021" beneath the artwork, with "Rio de Janeiro" handwritten in script at the bottom.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
