A Reschensee poster of the lake in the far north of Italy: a Romanesque bell tower standing alone in turquoise water, leaning very slightly, with a snow-covered ridge running the whole width behind it.
About the artwork
One vertical object, one horizontal range and a great deal of water — the design is that simple, which is why it holds. The tower is drawn with real care: a tapered grey shingle spire, paired arched belfry openings divided by slim columns, a string course, small lancets lower down, and a waterline where the masonry darkens and the lake takes over. Behind it the mountains are handled in flat facets, warm cream where snow catches the sun and cool blue-grey in shadow, with a dark band of conifers along the lower slopes and a small wooded shore at the left. The lake is the largest area: turquoise near the bank going to deeper teal, ruled into fine horizontal ripples that break the tower's reflection into a soft grey column. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Italy beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The tower in the water. One steeple left above the surface, and it carries the entire picture.
- Turquoise and snow. Two cold colours with nothing in the frame to fight them.
- Faceted mountains. The ridge is built from flat planes, so it stays clean at any size.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cold, calm and very quiet — a bedroom or bathroom print more than a hallway one. It sits well on white, pale blue and soft grey walls, and next to pale oak, linen and brushed steel. A white frame lets it disappear into the sky; a black frame concentrates the tower. If you like water and mountains together, hang it beside the Thun print or another of the alpine lake designs in the shop.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Why is a bell tower standing in a lake? The valley floor was flooded for a reservoir and the old church tower was left in place; the design shows it as it stands now, with water at its base.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
