A Prague travel poster at the end of the Charles Bridge: the gothic bridge tower standing dark and close, its stone arch open onto the crossing, baroque statues lining the parapet, and the verdigris dome and spires of St Nicholas rising behind under a sky full of gold-lit cloud.
About the artwork
Composed in three depth planes with three different treatments. The tower is nearest and darkest — almost a silhouette, with tracery and window detail cut into it. The bridge and its statues sit in the middle in cool grey stone, drawn with enough figure detail to read as sculpture. Behind, the baroque church is lighter and hazier, its dome and spires in oxidised copper green against cream and gold cloud. That green is the print's signature note and appears nowhere else in the collection. Bare autumn branches reach in from the left. Flat vector illustration with heavy linework in the stonework. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Czech Republic beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Verdigris green. A colour almost no travel print carries, and it does not clash with anything.
- Weight at the front, light at the back. The dark tower gives the image an anchor most cityscapes lack.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The gold sky and the dark tower give this print more contrast than most of the series, so it holds a wall on its own and does not need a partner. Warm neutrals suit it — cream, sand, unpainted plaster — and it is one of the few here that looks right in a room with antique furniture. Espresso and black frames both work; avoid white, which flattens the tower against the mount.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa or mantel, 24" x 36" or larger.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Why are the domes green? Copper roofing oxidises to verdigris over time. Prague has a great deal of it, which is part of why the skyline looks the way it does.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
