A goldfish print for a bathroom that could use something light and a little playful. Two pink goldfish with long, trailing tails swim in mirror image across mint green water marked with white ripples. The word GOLDFISH and a short passage of text sit on the sheet, so it reads a bit like a page from a nature book.
About the artwork
Pink on mint is the whole palette, with white used for the ripple lines that run through the water. The two fish are placed symmetrically, one mirroring the other, so the composition feels balanced and still while the long tails trail behind them. The lettering reads "GOLDFISH," followed by a short passage noting that goldfish originally come from China. Minimal and flat, with the tails as the only flourish. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Mirror-image balance. The two fish are set in symmetry, which gives a small bathroom wall a calm, centered focal point.
- A soft, cool palette. Mint green water and pink fish suit white tile and pale fixtures without adding visual noise.
- Tails that carry the movement. The long tails are the one flowing shape on an otherwise simple sheet.
- Text that gets the facts right. The printed passage notes that goldfish come from China, a true detail rather than decorative filler.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is a bathroom print for the wall beside the mirror or above the toilet, where a smaller size makes sense. It sits naturally with white subway tile, pale pink or mint walls, and brushed brass or chrome fixtures. Try 12" x 18" in a powder room and 16" x 24" over a bathtub. A white or natural wood floating frame keeps the mint fresh. Pair it with a mint or pale pink bath mat to repeat the colors at floor level.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Are goldfish from Japan? Goldfish originally come from China, and the passage printed on this design says so. Here they serve as a simple, calm water motif.
Will mint green work with white bathroom tile? Yes. Mint reads clean against white tile and chrome, and the pink fish add a warm note so the room does not feel cold.
What size is right above a toilet? 12" x 18" or 16" x 24" usually fits the space above a toilet tank. Leave some wall showing on each side so the fish do not feel boxed in.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
