A Perast travel poster seen from out on the water: the stone village strung along the shore with its blue-domed church and two bell towers, bare limestone mountains standing straight up behind it, and a small island chapel alone in the bay off to the left.
About the artwork
The bay does most of the work. Water fills the lower two thirds of the sheet, drawn as long horizontal ripples in teal, cobalt and near-navy, and the village breaks up across it in wobbling streaks of ochre and apricot where the roofs and the lit stone reflect. The village itself occupies a thin band: pale houses under terracotta tile, a church with a blue-grey dome, a taller campanile with an open belfry beside it, balconies and shuttered windows picked out one at a time. Behind them three ranges of limestone step back from warm grey to soft blue, drawn as flat facets, with haze thinning the furthest ridge almost to the sky. Off to the left the island chapel is barely more than a red roof, a low seawall and a slim tower on a rock. Pale boulders sit in clear shallows at the bottom edge. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Montenegro beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The reflections are the subject. Half the sheet is water, carrying the village back in broken colour.
- A dome and two towers. The skyline reads from across a room, even at small sizes.
- Teal against terracotta. One warm note in a cool print, which stops it going flat.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cool and quiet rather than bright, so it holds rooms where a saturated print would shout: bedrooms, hallways, a bathroom with decent light. White, chalk and pale grey walls suit it, and so does greige. A white or natural oak frame keeps the water airy, while black tightens it up. Hang it near the Piran print if you want a second Adriatic waterfront on the same wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from the Sveti Stefan print? Sveti Stefan is the other Montenegro design in the range, an aerial of a red-roofed islet joined to the shore by a pink sand causeway. This one stays at eye level on a sheltered bay, with the village and the mountains behind it.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
