About the artwork

Cerise on pink, one ink throughout. Domed clusters of small cupped flowers sit along a woody, leafy stem, each little cup drawn shallow and open so the group reads as a rounded head rather than a mass. A fern ornament fills the lower-left corner and the 1¢ denomination sits in a circle opposite.
