This Patagonia Argentina travel poster begins at your feet, on a shore of pale grey boulders threaded with clumps of golden tussock grass. Loose rocks sit in the shallows of a bright turquoise glacial lake that reflects the peaks. Behind it a scree slope climbs to jagged granite spires streaked with snow, with a wide snowfield to the right under a clear cyan sky.
About the artwork
Screen-print styling with dense hatching and layered flat shapes, closer to an engraved poster than a painting. Two temperatures do the work: cold cyan, turquoise and blue-grey in the water, rock and sky, against warm ochre and burnt orange in the grass and lichen. The granite is built from angular facets of grey, white and slate. Type sits in the sky in a wide condensed sans serif, PATAGONIA above a smaller ARGENTINA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Warm against cold — the ochre tussock grass is the only warm colour, and it keeps the turquoise lake from feeling icy.
- Three clear layers — boulder shore, still lake and jagged spires stack cleanly, so the print reads at any size.
- Cut granite detail — the peaks are drawn as faceted planes with hatched shadow rather than soft shading.
- Named on the artwork — PATAGONIA and ARGENTINA are printed into the sky at the top.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This one is happiest on a cool, quiet wall: soft white, pale grey or a chalky blue-grey that lets the turquoise stay the loudest colour. Warm oak or natural frames pick up the ochre grass, while black frames sharpen the granite. Team it with wool throws, a stone or ceramic lamp and undyed linen. It works over a bed, in a stairwell, or in a hallway where a tall vertical print does more than a wide one.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What are the peaks in this print? They are the jagged granite spires of the southern Andes on the Argentine side of Patagonia, drawn as a group of sheer towers with snow packed into their gullies and a glacier field beside them. The artwork is an illustration of that landscape rather than a survey of one named summit.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
