A pamukkale travel poster across the white terraces: chalk-white travertine shelves stepping down the slope, shallow pools of pale blue water held on each level, and a wide golden plain stretching away to low hills under a clean sky.
About the artwork
The most restrained print in the collection, and deliberately so. Almost the entire picture is built from three values of white — warm white where the light hits the mineral crust, cool grey-white in the shade, and pale ice blue in the water. Nothing is outlined; the forms are made purely by the edges between those tones, which is why it reads as calm rather than empty. The travertine is drawn as a series of stacked lips and basins, each with a slightly different curve, and the water pools sit as flat blue shapes catching sky. The one warm note is the plain behind: dry gold and ochre fields with a dark ridge and a few scattered marks along the top of the terraces. The sky is a plain pale blue. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Turkey beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Nearly monochrome. Whites and pale blues only, so it reads as texture and light rather than as a picture of a place.
- Unusual subject. A mineral landscape nobody else has on their wall.
- Gold horizon. One warm band that keeps the cool palette from feeling cold.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is the print for a minimal room. On a white or off-white wall it behaves almost like a textured panel, and it is quiet enough for a bedroom, bathroom or meditation corner. It suits pale plaster, bleached wood, linen and stone, and it holds its own at large sizes where a busier image would tire. Thin white or natural frames keep it seamless; black frames give it a graphic edge. It pairs with the Cappadocia print for a Turkey pair.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Why is the ground white? The terraces are mineral deposits left by hot springs running down the hillside, which is what gives the site its white shelves and blue pools.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
