This Palacio de Bellas Artes poster looks down on the white marble palace from above the treetops. A ribbed amber dome and a smaller orange-red one sit over arched windows and rooftop figures, a dense green park canopy fills the lower half with a broad avenue and red parasols cutting through it, and the city spreads back to a volcano cone on the horizon.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes carry a lot of small architectural detail here: pilasters, arched bays, balustrades and the sculpted figures on the roofline are all drawn in, and the domes are built from narrow ribs that catch the light one by one. The palette sets cool white and pale grey marble against amber, copper and orange-red on the domes, deep bottle green in the trees, and warm terracotta and bone in the low rooftops behind, all under a dusty pale blue sky with blue-grey mountains. The viewpoint is high and slightly off to the side. Lettering reads MEXICO CITY above a smaller MEXICO. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Two domes, two colours — the amber ribbed dome and the smaller orange-red one are the first thing the eye lands on.
- Aerial viewpoint — drawn from above the park, so you get the roof sculptures and the street at the same time.
- Life at street level — red market parasols, tiny walkers and cars on the avenue at the bottom edge.
- A whole city in one frame — palace, park, rooftops and a volcano on the far horizon.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The amber and copper domes are the accent colour, so this print earns its keep in a room that already has brass, tan leather or a mustard cushion. Cool white and pale grey marble keep it crisp on a white or dove-grey wall, and the bottle-green canopy stops it feeling cold. A black frame reads sharp and architectural against the pale stone, while natural oak plays up the warm rooftops. It suits a home office or a hallway, where the aerial view of streets and rooftops rewards a close look.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Why does the print say Mexico City rather than the building name? The lettering names the city; the Palacio de Bellas Artes is the white marble building with the amber dome at the centre of the drawing.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
