A prague old town square poster standing in the middle of the crowd: the dark twin towers of the Tyn church rising straight out of the rooftops with their cluster of slim spires, pastel merchant houses lining both sides, and sunlit cobbles running away under a hundred people.
About the artwork
The composition is a deep V — buildings closing in from left and right, the square opening out in the middle — and the two Gothic towers sit right in the notch where the two lines meet. They are drawn almost black against a flat cyan sky, with every pinnacle, gable and the gold clock face picked out, and that hard silhouette is what makes the print read instantly from across a room. Everything below them is warm by contrast: apricot, buttermilk, rose and sage facades, ochre gables, red pantile roofs, cream market awnings. The crowd is painted in small dabs of blue, red and white and reads as texture rather than as individual people. The cobbles in the foreground are drawn stone by stone in warm gold with long shadows crossing them. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Czech Republic beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The Tyn silhouette. Near-black spires against flat cyan — the strongest shape in the whole Europe range.
- Street level, not aerial. You are in the square, which is why it feels like being there.
- Pastel facades against a hard blue sky. Warm and cool pushed hard apart.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Busy and full of incident, so give it room — a single large print over a sofa or in a stairwell works better than a gallery grid. The cyan sky is the loudest note, so it looks best on white, chalk or pale grey walls rather than a coloured one. Black frames echo the spires; walnut warms the facades. It hangs naturally beside the Charles Bridge print, which shows the other half of the same city.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Which building is that? The Gothic church on the east side of Prague's Old Town Square, seen from the middle of the square looking across the market stalls.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
