A warsaw old town poster across the market square in late afternoon: a terrace of merchant houses in yellow, rose, cream and pale blue, cafe umbrellas and red chairs filling the arcade below them, and a tall clock tower with a green cupola rising on the right.
About the artwork
The facades are the point and they are drawn as a set of individual portraits rather than a row. Each house has its own colour, its own window rhythm and its own decoration — sgraffito panels on the pink one, painted friezes on the yellow, ornamental parapets, small dormers in the red pantile roofs, aerials on the ridgelines. Nothing repeats. The tower on the right is a different weight altogether: brick red walls, stone quoins, a slate cupola and a slim gilded spire that pushes above the top of the composition. Below all of it the square is warm — sand-coloured cobbles drawn stone by stone with long shadows reaching across them, cream umbrellas, and small figures in red, white and blue at the tables. The sky is a flat clean blue that gives every roofline a hard edge. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Poland beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- No two houses alike. Every facade drawn separately, right down to the painted panels.
- Cafe life at ground level. Umbrellas, chairs and people give the architecture a human scale.
- Warm ochre and rose under hard blue. Cheerful without tipping into sweet.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Warm and sociable, which makes it a natural kitchen, dining room or breakfast-nook print. It sits well on cream, buttermilk and warm grey walls, and beside brass, terracotta and mid-tone wood. Walnut frames deepen the ochre; a white frame keeps it light. It hangs naturally beside the Gdansk and Krakow prints as a Poland group.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
What is the tower on the right? The clock tower on the corner of the square, seen from the far side across the cafe tables.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
