A corfu old town poster taken at street level along the arcaded esplanade, with cafe tables and cream awnings down one side, apricot and pink facades above them and the grey bulk of the fortress rising behind.
About the artwork
It is a low, wide-angled street view, and the bottom third is simply paving: large pale slabs drawn one by one, with long shadows raking in from the right where the sun is low. On the left runs the terrace, a row of dark bentwood chairs and small round tables under cream scalloped awnings, with a few seated figures reduced to blocks of colour. Above them the buildings do the talking. An ochre-yellow block comes first, six windows wide, with green louvered shutters and slim iron balconies; then a salmon-pink facade with arched upper windows, a stone balustrade and a ground-floor arcade whose arches march away with terracotta pots between the piers. A campanile with a clock face and a shallow green roof rises behind the pink block. Behind everything the fortress, angular grey walls on bare rock, drawn cool and flat so the warm facades stay in front. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Greece beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Apricot and pink against grey stone. The pastel facades only work because the cold fortress sits behind them.
- The arcade runs the length. A receding row of arches gives the print real depth for a street-level view.
- Late light on the paving. The empty foreground and its long shadows are half the atmosphere.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The softest palette of the Greek prints, and the one that suits a kitchen, a breakfast corner or a bedroom rather than a formal room. It settles against blush, cream, warm white and pale terracotta paint, and it sits happily above cane, rattan and painted furniture. A white or pale oak frame keeps the pastels light; a thin black frame gives it more edge if the room is modern. Try it where morning light falls on it. It works as a pair with the Chania harbour print.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
What is the grey mass behind the buildings? The old fortress on its rock above the town, drawn flat and cool on purpose so the warm facades read in front of it.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
