An Oklahoma City travel poster looking down the Bricktown Canal from the stone walkway. A yellow water taxi cuts a wake through deep teal water, red brick warehouses rise five storeys on both banks, cafe umbrellas line the far towpath and the city's tallest glass tower stands against a bank of summer cloud at the end of the channel.
About the artwork
Hard-edged vector shapes with layered flat tones, so the brickwork and the water ripples both hold their pattern. The palette runs warm against cool: rust and terracotta brick, sandstone paving, deep petrol-teal canal water, olive and moss foliage, and a single hit of school-bus yellow on the boat. Black-eyed Susans crowd a carved stone urn on the left wall and spill into the bottom right corner, their dark centres punctuating the yellow. Behind them a green-glass tower catches the light beside cream cumulus clouds. The type reads OKLAHOMA CITY in white capitals with OKLAHOMA letterspaced below. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Bricktown at eye level — the canal, the water taxi and the warehouse walls, not a flat skyline seen from a distance.
- Yellow against teal — the boat and the black-eyed Susans carry the accent colour twice, top and bottom, and pull your eye down the water.
- Warm brick tones — rust and terracotta make it an easy fit in rooms that already lean warm.
- For people who know the walk — anyone who has strolled the towpath from the ballpark down to the boathouses will recognise the view.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The rust brick and petrol teal want a room with some warmth in it. Against the terracotta wall in the photographs above the brickwork almost continues off the edge of the frame. Cream, clay or a warm putty wall works just as well, and walnut or espresso framing picks up the darker brick. In a home office with a leather chair or a living room with an olive sofa, the teal water reads as the cool note that keeps everything from going too brown.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The canal runs deep into the picture, so scale helps. 16" x 24" suits a desk wall or a stairwell; 24" x 36" or larger over a sofa keeps the boat and the flower detail legible.
Does it come framed? Paper prints arrive rolled and unframed in standard US and A-series proportions. Framed canvas comes ready to hang in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
What does the poster say? Only OKLAHOMA CITY and OKLAHOMA. The scene itself is the Bricktown Canal district just east of downtown, which is not named on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
