An Ocean City boardwalk poster looking north up the sand on a clear afternoon. The tide runs in on the left in shallow ranks of foam, the beach opens out gold and empty in the foreground, and the boardwalk sits on its timber pilings along the right, carrying two Ferris wheels, a row of red arcade fronts with a tall vertical marquee, striped awnings and a line of coloured umbrellas that shrinks away toward the horizon.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with hard edges and a strong single vanishing point up the beach. The palette is split between a warm sand field of butter yellow, wheat and tan, and a cool ocean of teal, petrol blue and steel, with white foam drawn as flat scalloped bands. The amusement pier supplies the accents: tomato red and vermilion on the arcade buildings and the wheel cars, a red and yellow striped awning, slate blue clapboard on the building at the right edge, and small dots of red, yellow and turquoise for umbrellas and figures. The sky is a single flat teal-blue. Tiny walkers scale the beach. The title is set in white capitals: OCEAN CITY, with MARYLAND below. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Two Ferris wheels — the near one drawn spoke by spoke, the second one small and hazy further up the boards.
- Beach and midway together — half the print is quiet empty sand, half is arcade colour, and the boardwalk divides them.
- Deep perspective — the pilings and umbrellas run to a vanishing point, which makes a narrow wall feel longer.
- For Maryland summers — the Boardwalk end of town rather than the quiet barrier-island beaches further south.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The golden sand takes up most of the sheet, so this print warms a room rather than cooling it. It sits happily on white, cream and pale blue walls, and the red arcade fronts pick up nicely against the terracotta wall in the photographs above. Light oak framing suits the sand; a white frame keeps it beachy. Good in a kitchen, a child's room or a hallway where the small figures reward a close look.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The arcade and wheel detail is concentrated in one corner, so bigger helps. 18" x 24" works on a small wall, 24" x 36" lets the umbrellas and figures read clearly.
Does it come framed? Paper arrives rolled and unframed for your own frame. Matte canvas is stretched and ready to hang, and framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? OCEAN CITY in large white capitals with MARYLAND beneath it. A small vertical marquee sign appears on one arcade front in the artwork, but it is drawn too small to be read.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
