This Nassau watercolor print shows the flamingo-pink Bahamian Parliament buildings with the white Queen Victoria statue at the center of Parliament Square. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Nassau, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Flamingo-pink walls are washed in lightly, while white columns and trim are left as paper and outlined in fine ink. Deep green shutters add contrast, and hibiscus flowers are loose dabs of red and pink. Flamingo pink and crisp white lead the palette with palm and shutter green, plus red hibiscus and the aquamarine, gold and black of the Bahamian flag. The Parliament building with its white portico and flag stands right of center, the statue sits in the square, and pink colonial buildings line the back. Government House sits on the hill behind, and a low white wall, hibiscus and a tall palm fill the left foreground under warm winter sun. "NASSAU" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Surrey carriage. A horse-drawn surrey carries visitors through the square.
- Jitney on the street. A small jitney bus rolls past as people in straw hats stroll by.
- Yellow cottage. A wooden house with a white porch and green shutters sits on the left.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Pink, white and green feel cheerful in a bedroom, a powder room or a bright entryway. It is a sweet gift for someone with family in the Bahamas or a souvenir of a cruise stop in Nassau.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Nassau? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Parliament Square in watercolor and ink rather than an exact view of the city.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "NASSAU," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
