A Mykonos travel poster from the windmill hill: the row of whitewashed mills with their thatched caps and bare timber sails stepping down the ochre bluff, the Aegean below flashing with sunlight, and the white Chora spread along the far side of the bay.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration with a hot, unusual palette — the rock in the foreground is worked in rust, ochre and burnt orange rather than the grey most island prints default to, which throws the whitewashed mills forward and makes the sea look colder than it is. The water is scattered with small four-pointed star glints, drawn rather than blurred, and they are what give the print its glare. The mills are the detail centre: individual stone courses on the bases, the ribbed thatch, and the spoked sail frames drawn open against the sky. Behind them the Chora is compressed into a pale band of cubic white with the odd dome, so the town reads without competing. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Greece beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Not the blue-and-white cliche. The ochre foreground gives it a warmth most Greek island prints never have.
- The mills are the landmark. Specific enough that anyone who has walked up from Little Venice will place it immediately.
- Sunlight you can see. The star glints on the water do a job that flat colour cannot.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The ochre-and-cobalt combination is unusually warm for a coastal print, so it holds its own on terracotta and clay walls where a blue-and-white Greek scene would look cold. Rattan, linen and pale oak all suit it. In a bathroom or bedroom it works small; in a living room give it 20" x 30" or more so the windmill detail survives. Pair it with a cooler Mediterranean print to balance the heat.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? From the windmill hill above Chora, looking across the bay with the mills in the near foreground.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
