A Japanese wave print for a bathroom that could use some calm order. Navy seigaiha arcs, the traditional overlapping-arc wave pattern, cover the whole sheet on white, and a single red label marked 無限 stands out against them. It reads like a tiled wall turned into a picture.
About the artwork
Two colors carry the design: navy line work on a white ground, with one red label as the only warm note. The seigaiha arcs repeat across the full frame, so there is no horizon and no focal point except the label. The lettering pairs MUGEN with 無限, which means infinity, and adds a shorter Japanese line, 無限は心の中にある. The pattern stays in clean line, with no scenery to compete with it. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- An endless pattern with an endless name. Seigaiha has no start or finish on the sheet, and 無限 means infinity, so the word and the drawing say the same thing.
- Built for small walls. A pattern with no single subject still reads clearly in a narrow space beside a mirror or above a towel bar.
- One red accent. The red label is the only warm color, which gives the eye one place to land among all that navy.
- Navy and white stay crisp. The two-color palette sits comfortably next to white tile, chrome fixtures and pale wood.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a bathroom with white or pale gray tile, where the navy arcs pick up the grout lines and fixtures. A 12" x 18" fits beside a mirror or above the toilet; a wider wall can take 18" x 24". A white solid wood floating frame keeps the edge as clean as the pattern. Pair it with plain navy towels and one small red object, a soap dish or a bottle, so the red label has an echo.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does 無限 mean on this print? It means infinity, and it appears with the word MUGEN. The seigaiha pattern around it repeats across the whole sheet, which plays on the same idea.
Will a navy print work in a small bathroom? Yes. The white ground keeps it light, and at 12" x 18" it fits beside a mirror or above a towel bar without crowding the room.
Which frame color suits it? White or natural solid wood floating frames keep it bright and simple. Black gives the navy lines a sharper outline.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
