A Mount Shasta poster with the volcano's whole cone in view: snowfields still holding on the upper slopes, the secondary cone of Shastina pushing out to the left, a flat lens-shaped cloud parked just above the summit, and a meadow of lupine, white yarrow and orange bloom running across the foreground between dark stands of fir.
About the artwork
A densely painted illustration — individual flower heads in the meadow, ribbed snow gullies on the cone, wind-combed cirrus streaked across the upper sky. The palette runs deep petrol blue at the top through pale sky blue at the horizon, with the mountain in white, dove grey and blue shadow. Below it, forested foothills in bottle green and blue-green, a hazy valley floor in olive and dusty rose, then the meadow in fresh green with violet lupine, cream, gold and burnt orange. Cumulus banks tower on the right. White type reads MOUNT SHASTA above CALIFORNIA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- That cloud. Shasta is known for lenticular caps forming over the summit, and the print puts one right where it belongs.
- Two summits, not one. The lower cone on the left flank is Shastina, which is what makes this mountain's profile immediately identifiable.
- Summer, specifically. The flowering meadow places the scene in high summer, when snow is down to the upper thousand feet.
- Depth in four bands. Meadow, forest, foothills, cone — each in its own colour register, so the print reads as distance rather than a flat backdrop.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is a cool print with a warm floor: deep blues and greens above, violet and burnt orange in the meadow. It sits well on white, oat or pale blue-grey walls and beside pale oak or cane. A white frame keeps the snow crisp; natural wood picks up the meadow tones. Hang it where the flower detail is close enough to read — over a low bench or beside an armchair, as in the photographs above.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? There is a lot of small detail in the meadow, so 20" x 30" and above suits it best. At 8" x 12" the flowers read as texture rather than blooms.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? Two white lines at the base: MOUNT SHASTA and CALIFORNIA.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
