A Mole Antonelliana Turin poster looking out across the rooftops: the stepped dome and its long needle spire standing alone above a grid of cream apartment blocks, with the snow line of the Alps drawn right across the horizon behind.
About the artwork
This is the coolest and most restrained print in the Italian group, worked in barely four colours — a soft seafoam sky, cream and sand facades, grey-blue roofs, and chalk white on the peaks. The city is set out as a strict grid seen at an angle, block after block of long ranges with regular window bays and shallow pitched roofs, drawn small and repeated until it reads as a whole quarter rather than a few buildings. The dome sits on a colonnaded drum in the upper middle, and the spire above it tapers to a hairline that is easily the tallest thing in the frame. Along the horizon the mountains are laid in almost flat, with the snow cut in as pale angular shapes, so the range looks like scenery propped behind the town. At the bottom right a boulevard runs off with street lamps, a few cars and an arcaded ground floor. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Italy beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- One spire above everything. The needle gives the composition a clear top note and a lot of quiet around it.
- Alps across the whole width. The snow band draws a hard line under the sky and lifts the pale palette.
- Cool where Italy is usually warm. Teal and cream instead of terracotta, so it mixes with rooms other travel prints fight.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The muted grey-green makes it an easy fit for a modern entryway, corridor or home office. It sits neatly against cool grey, greige and off-white paint, and works with brushed steel, glass and pale ash furniture — the sort of setting where a warm terracotta poster would feel loud. A slim white or pale ash frame keeps it crisp; black gives it more weight if the wall is large. It groups well with the Zell am See or Kitzbühel prints for an alpine set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
What is the tall spire in the middle? The Mole Antonelliana, the domed building with the needle above it, which stands far higher than any roof in the drawing.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
