A London travel poster from the river: Westminster Bridge running out of the near corner in a line of arches, the Houses of Parliament along the bank, and the Elizabeth Tower standing clear against an empty pale sky.
About the artwork
Composed around a diagonal. The bridge cuts from bottom left to middle right and carries the eye directly to the clock tower, which is left almost entirely unobstructed — a deliberate piece of restraint, since most London art crowds the skyline. The palette is muted and cool: sandstone and warm grey for the stonework, teal-green for the Thames, and a wide flat band of pale duck-egg sky that takes up the whole upper third. Gothic detail on the Parliament roofline is drawn as fine repeated linework rather than picked out individually. Flat vector illustration. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with United Kingdom beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Quiet for a capital city. Muted, uncluttered, and closer to an architectural study than a souvenir.
- Empty sky is the point. The negative space above the tower is what makes it hang well in a small room.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The muted palette makes this the easiest print in the series to place — it will not argue with an existing scheme, and it works in a small room where a saturated print would dominate. Good in a home office, a study, or a stairwell. Black frames suit the cool grey-green; espresso warms it toward the stonework. Holds up well at 12" x 18".
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? This one works small — 12" x 18" above a desk. For a sofa wall, 24" x 36" or larger.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Is the tower Big Ben? Big Ben is the bell; the tower is the Elizabeth Tower. Most people call the whole thing Big Ben, and that is the view shown.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
