A Llandudno travel poster looking along the promenade on a bright, cool day: the long white crescent of seafront hotels following the curve of the bay, walkers scattered across the tiled esplanade, and the Great Orme rising green and grey at the far end.
About the artwork
Almost everything here is a curve. The promenade sweeps in from the bottom left and carries the whole picture round to the headland, its blue-grey railings and cast-iron lamp posts repeating at even intervals like a rhythm. The hotel terrace is drawn as one continuous white wall, bay window by bay window, with slate roofs and the odd turret breaking the line, and the pier reaching out into the water beyond it. The sea takes up the right-hand third and is worked in flat bands of steel and cobalt blue with fine white lines raked across it to read as surface. The Orme is limestone grey with green turf on top and a hard cliff edge dropping to the sea. Figures walk in twos and threes, small enough to give the scale away. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Wales beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- One long Victorian crescent. The seafront terrace is drawn as a single sweep rather than a row of boxes.
- Cool blues with cream. A restrained coastal palette that will not fight the rest of a room.
- The Orme anchors it. The headland gives the bay a shape you can recognise from the doorway.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Quiet enough for a bedroom or a bathroom, and steady enough for a hallway. The cool blues sit well on white, pale grey and chalky green walls, and against navy paint the cream terrace lifts right off. Try it with painted furniture, linen and pale oak rather than anything heavy. A white or off-white frame keeps it airy; black gives the railings more bite. It pairs naturally with other British coast prints in the collection.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view taken from? From the north end of the promenade, looking along the curve of the bay towards the pier and the Great Orme headland.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
