A Lisse travel poster from the edge of the bulb fields: bands of red, pink, magenta and yellow tulips running in hard stripes to the horizon, a windmill and a farmhouse at the end of them, and a wall of cumulus stacked above.
About the artwork
Pure one-point perspective, and the strongest use of colour in the whole series. The field is drawn as converging stripes so the eye is pulled straight to the windmill, and the foreground tulips are rendered individually — petals, highlights, blue-green leaves — before dissolving into flat bands further back. That shift from detail to abstraction across the same image is the trick of the piece. Above the field, cream and grey cumulus is drawn in flat cut shapes against a strong blue. Modern wind turbines sit small on the right horizon. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Netherlands beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Colour at full strength. Nothing else in the collection is this saturated. It is the print for a room that needs waking up.
- Reads from a distance and up close. Stripes from across the room, individual tulips from a metre away.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This one needs a quiet wall and nothing competing. White or the palest grey; never a coloured wall. It is a kitchen, breakfast room or bright hallway print — the saturation is too high for a bedroom. A thin black frame contains it; ornate or gold frames make it shout. Do not hang it beside another floral piece.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or table, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". As a single statement piece, 24" x 36" or larger.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is Lisse? The bulb-growing region south of Haarlem, the area around Keukenhof where the commercial tulip fields are.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
