A Lexington Kentucky horse farm poster looking across bluegrass pasture from beside a four-rail white plank fence. The fence line runs from the bottom right corner into the distance and carries the eye with it. Three horses graze in the middle of the field, a white barn with a cupola and a long porch sits on the ridge behind them, and a broad shade tree fills the upper right.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with the grass and fence boards worked in dense directional linework, so the pasture looks brushed rather than filled. The green is layered rather than uniform: acid lime in the sunlit foreground, mid emerald in the paddock, deeper bottle green under the tree canopy. Against that, the fence is chalk white with cool blue-grey shadow, the horses are bay and chestnut brown, and the sky is a flat steel blue crossed by thin cirrus streaks with a small cloud bank low on the left. The fence casts a long slatted shadow across the near grass. Typography is thin white capitals: LEXINGTON across the top, KENTUCKY spaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The bluegrass in one image — white plank fence, grazing thoroughbreds, barn on the rise.
- Strong lead-in line — the fence pulls from the corner straight to the barn.
- Layered greens — three or four distinct shades keep a green print from flattening out.
- Good for horse people — a considered gift for anyone tied to Kentucky racing or riding.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Bright green and white wants a calm ground behind it: chalk white, warm cream or the sage green wall shown in the photographs above, where the pasture tones line up almost exactly. Espresso or walnut framing picks up the bay horses and the barn shadows. It reads well in a dining room or entry hall, where the long fence line has space to run.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The horses are small in the frame, so give them room: 24" x 36" and up keeps them legible. 18" x 24" is the practical minimum.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas ships in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
What does the poster say? The printed text reads LEXINGTON across the top with KENTUCKY below it. The scene is the horse farm country of the Inner Bluegrass around the city.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
