This Lassen Volcanic National Park watercolor print shows snowy Lassen Peak reflected in Manzanita Lake in Northern California, with the pink-gray spires of Chaos Crags to the left. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the volcano and its lake, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The lake is built from clear blue layers, with the mountain's reflection washed in pink and violet, and the snowy summit is left as white paper. Fine ink lines draw the rocky spires and the pine forest, and drips with violet and yellow splatter gather at the lower left. Lassen Peak rises in the upper right, Chaos Crags stand farther back on the left, and dark pine forest rings Manzanita Lake in the middle ground, with its reflection filling the lower half. Grassy banks, round stones and reeds fill the foreground. Snow on the peak and fresh green forest point to early summer. "LASSEN VOLCANIC" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Mirror-still reflection. The peak and forest repeat in the calm water below.
- Angler on the shore. A fisherman stands on the left bank while two kayakers in red and yellow paddle out.
- Ducks and wildflowers. A pair of ducks swim near purple wildflowers along the shore.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Lake blue, pine green and snow white suit a bedroom, living room or reading corner with soft blues and natural textures. It makes a calm gift for a kayaker, an angler or someone who camped at Manzanita Lake.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Lassen Volcanic National Park? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Manzanita Lake and Lassen Peak; the distances between the peaks are rearranged a little for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "LASSEN VOLCANIC," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
