A Lake Como travel poster from the water: a saffron-yellow villa with a red tile roof standing above a balustraded terrace, clipped gardens and stone urns stepping down to the shore, tall cypresses behind it, and the villa's colour running down into deep green water as a long gold reflection.
About the artwork
One bold colour against a wall of green. The villa's saffron is the only warm note in the image, and everything else — cypress, topiary, hillside, water — sits in a range of greens from near-black to pale olive. That single-accent structure is why the print reads instantly from across a room. The water is drawn in long horizontal strokes that break the gold reflection into ribbons, and the garden statuary and balustrades are picked out in cream at small scale. Flat vector illustration, no photographic blending. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Italy beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- One accent, held. Saffron on green is a designer's palette, and it does not need anything else in the room to work.
- Green is under-used in travel art. If a room already has enough blue, this is the alternative.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The deep greens go well against cream, warm white and unpainted plaster, and it is one of the few prints in the series that survives a green wall — the saffron cuts straight through. It suits a dining room or a hallway with dark wood. Avoid pairing it with another strong yellow in the same sightline; the villa should be the only bright thing.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa or dining table, 24" x 36" or larger.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Is this a specific villa? The composition is drawn from the classic Como lakeside villa type — ochre render, red tile, terraced garden running to a private jetty.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
