A Lake Como travel poster taken from the water's edge: a stone-flagged terrace with a low wall and a few worn steps in the foreground, oleander in full pink flower spilling over the parapet, a file of cypress behind, and a run of pale ochre villas following the shore beneath a steep wooded ridge.
About the artwork
The second Lake Como artwork in the collection, and the one that puts you on the ground rather than out on the lake. The composition is built on a diagonal: the paving leads in from the bottom left, the shoreline and its villas run away to the right, and a single tree branch reaches in across the top corner to close the frame. The palette is a narrow, confident one — teal water and sky, jade and bottle green on the ridge, cream and pale ochre stone, with two clusters of rose pink oleander doing all the accent work. Printed with a visible screen-print grain across the flat colour areas, which gives the water and the hillside their texture. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Italy beneath, held inside a thin white margin. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- It reads as a place you are standing in. The foreground paving and steps give the viewer somewhere to be, which is rare in a travel print.
- Pink against teal. The oleander is the only warm colour in the frame, so it carries a room that already has blues and greens in it.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
A calm, warm-weather print that suits bedrooms, bathrooms and any room with cream or pale plaster walls. The cream stone in the paving picks up linen and rattan, and the teal is deep enough to hold its own beside dark green or navy. A gold or brass frame leans into the Italian villa reference; plain oak keeps it modern. It holds together at smaller sizes better than most in the series — 16" x 24" is enough — but at 24" x 36" the paving texture and the individual oleander blooms come forward.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
How is this different from the other Lake Como print? It is a separate artwork. This one looks along the shore from a terrace at the water's edge, with oleander in the foreground; the other looks back at a single villa and its garden from out on the lake.
What size should I get? 16" x 24" works in a bedroom or hallway. Go to 24" x 36" or larger if you want the stone paving and the flowers to hold their detail.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
