A Coeur d'Alene Idaho poster taken from the deck of the lake boardwalk itself. Honey-coloured planks run away from the viewer, turn at a right angle and stretch out across the water on timber pilings, past moored boats and a lamp standard, until the walkway thins to a line against the far shore. Forested ridges close the lake in on both sides.
About the artwork
Hard-edged vector shapes with the plank joints, piling grain and water chop drawn as fine parallel linework. The colour is split cleanly in two: warm side and cool side. The decking runs tan, honey and burnt orange with pale sun-bleached boards near the turn; the lake goes from mid-teal in the shallows to deep petrol blue offshore, with white chop marks catching the light. Behind it sit dark forest-green ridges and a flat cerulean sky. Grey boulders pile up at the lower left corner. The typography is thin white capitals: COEUR D'ALENE across the top, IDAHO spaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Perspective that pulls you in — the boardwalk drives a strong diagonal from the bottom edge to the far shore.
- Warm wood against cold water — the orange decking and teal lake do the whole job on their own.
- A specific place — the long floating walkway is what Coeur d'Alene is known for, not a stock lake view.
- Detail in the planks — board lines and pilings hold texture at larger sizes.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The honey and burnt-orange decking makes this one of the warmer blue prints in the range, so it holds up against beige, clay and oak-panelled walls as well as plain white. Natural oak framing repeats the plank colour directly — see the oak console setting in the photographs above. In a bedroom, a black frame tightens the teal and keeps the wood from going sweet.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The diagonal reads well small, so 12" x 18" works in a hallway or gallery wall. For a sofa or bed wall, 24" x 36" gives the far shore room to sit back.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas ships in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
What does the poster say? The printed text reads COEUR D'ALENE across the top with IDAHO below it. The walkway shown is the lake boardwalk on the north shore.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
