A Lake Bled travel poster from the shoreline: the wooded island with its white church and slim bell tower sitting almost in the centre of the water, the castle on its cliff to the right, and the snow still on the Julian Alps behind.
About the artwork
Built on a cool green-teal that runs from the lake surface up through the forested slopes and only breaks at the snowline — a single dominant hue carried across three different materials, which is why the image feels so unified. Detail is concentrated in two small places: the island church, where the tiled roof, arched windows and tower clock are all drawn, and the castle, picked out in cream and rust on its grey crag. Everything else is treated broadly. The water is worked in long horizontal strokes with a soft reflection of the island under it, and the mountains are laid in as flat planes of blue-grey and white. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Slovenia beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Two landmarks, one frame. The island church and the clifftop castle are both there, and both readable.
- A single colour family. Green-teal throughout makes it one of the calmest prints in the series.
- Centred and stable. The island sits near the middle, so it hangs straight and needs no partner.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cool green over cool blue, with almost no warm colour, so it needs a warm room to sit in — cream, oatmeal or clay walls, light oak or walnut around it. In a grey room it can look flat. It suits a bedroom or a stair wall, and hangs well as a single centred piece above a console. If you build a pair, put it beside a warmer alpine or lake scene rather than another teal one.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? From the lake shore looking across at the island, with the castle on its cliff to the right and the mountains behind.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
