A Jersey City New Jersey poster looking straight at the waterfront from open water. A low red-brick building with arched windows, green pitched roofs and a square corner tower sits on the pier, and a huge octagonal clock stands beside it on a red plinth. Behind them the modern waterfront rises: a tan stepped tower, blue-green glass slabs, a black shard and a wall of curtain-wall high-rises.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with hard edges and dense, repeated window grids. The palette is a deliberate collision: scarlet and rust red for the brick pier building and the clock, dark teal for its roofs, and then cold cyan, steel blue, slate and bronze-tan for the towers behind, all under a flat mid-blue sky. The lower half is choppy harbour water in navy and teal, broken by hundreds of small cream and white sparkle marks. Awnings and small trees line the promenade. Typography is white at the top: JERSEY CITY in wide capitals with NEW JERSEY beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The octagonal clock — the single object that makes this waterfront impossible to confuse with any other.
- Old brick against new glass — the red terminal in front of the towers is the whole story of this shoreline in one frame.
- Red on blue — a strong two-colour contrast that carries across a room.
- Sparkling water — the foreground is worked in detail rather than left as a flat blue block.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The scarlet accent does the work, so keep the wall plain: white, bone or a cool pale grey. The terracotta room in the photographs above shows how well the red brick answers a warm wall. Black frames match the shard and the window grids; walnut warms the brick. Good over a desk, a console or a dining sideboard.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The window grids on the towers are very fine. 16" x 24" or A2 upward keeps them readable; 24" x 36" or A1 if it is the main piece on the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
What does the poster say? Two lines in white at the top: JERSEY CITY, with NEW JERSEY below it.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
