A retro coffee print on a flat teal ground: a hand holding a cup and saucer with a red shadow falling behind it, and a music player progress bar across the sheet reading IT’S COFFEE TIME.
About the artwork
The player bar is the idea — a track name, a progress line, a little scrubber dot, exactly as it appears on a phone, but the song is coffee. It dates the print to now in a way nothing else in the series does. The red drop-shadow behind the hand is offset hard to one side, a printing trick from the seventies, and it is the only warm colour against all that teal.
Why you’ll love it
- A now-joke, not a retro one. The player bar is instantly readable to anyone with a phone.
- Offset red shadow. An old mis-registration trick used deliberately.
- Teal ground. The coolest print in the batch — it stands out in a warm kitchen.
- Flat colour throughout. Prints clean at every size, no detail to lose.
- Built as a set. Every design in the food and drink series shares the same paper and print process, so any combination lines up.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Above a coffee machine, in a home office, or a studio kitchen. The teal is strong enough to need a white or very pale wall. White frames separate it cleanly; black makes the teal read almost navy. It pairs well with the other full-colour coffee prints in the series.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 18" x 24" and up so the player bar text stays readable.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Can I hang more than one together? Yes. The food and drink prints share one palette and one paper, so two or three hang as a matched set.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
