A Mount Baldy, Indiana Dunes National Park poster, drawn in the golden-age style: the view from Mount Baldy’s grassy back slope over marram grass to a curving pale shoreline and cobalt Lake Michigan under stacked summer clouds.
About the artwork
The view looks down the slope: grass in front, the shoreline sweeping away in a curve and the lake opening out. The lake is built from layered blue bands and white wave strokes, and every clump of dune grass is drawn blade by blade. Mount Baldy is a living dune that wind keeps pushing inland. The lettering reads “Mount Baldy, Lake Michigan Shore, Indiana” and pairs it with a date line and map coordinates for the park (41.65 N, 87.05 W).
Why you'll love it
- A moving dune. The dune that walks away from the lake.
- Named on the sheet. Each landmark print carries its place names and map coordinates in hand-drawn lettering.
- Thirteen sizes. Paper runs from 8" x 12" up to 30" x 40", plus A4 to A1, and canvas starts at 12" x 16".
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Great in a lake cottage, a kid’s room or a hallway. Sand, cobalt and olive go with white walls and striped cushions; frame it in natural wood.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Which size works best? 12" x 16" suits a desk wall or a hallway; 18" x 24" and up holds its own above a sofa or bed, and 30" x 40" anchors a large room.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Indiana Dunes prints? This is the landmark version, built around Mount Baldy with its place names and coordinates lettered on the sheet. The vintage travel poster, WPA, screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, classical oil, impasto oil, watercolor and illustrated Indiana Dunes prints are separate designs.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
