A Hollywood Sign poster looking up from the canyon road late in the day. The white letters sit small on the flank of the ridge, three-quarters of the way up the frame, with the whole hillside caught in low sun. A line of very tall palms runs down the left side and one stands close on the right, and a two-lane road curves out of the bottom left corner and disappears behind the slope.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with dense stippling and hatching across the chaparral, giving the hillside a printed, textured surface. The palette is warm gold against cool teal: honey, apricot and burnt orange on the sunlit brush, deep blue-green in the shaded ravines, olive foliage, and a clear teal-to-pale sky graded from top to bottom. Palm trunks are drawn ring by ring and the fronds catch rim light on their upper edges. The road surface is pale grey with a broken yellow centre line. Typography runs across the sky in thin white capitals: LOS ANGELES, with CALIFORNIA underneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Palms do the framing — tall trunks on both edges make a natural window onto the ridge.
- The sign kept in scale — small and far off, the way you actually see it from the road below.
- Gold against teal — a warm hillside under a cool sky, so it stays bright without turning orange all over.
- A drive, not a tour stop — the curving road gives the print a sense of going somewhere.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Honey and olive tones settle easily against cream, sand and warm greige walls, and the teal sky keeps it from feeling heavy in a small room. Natural oak suits the palm trunks; espresso deepens the shadowed ravines. It works over a sofa in a living room, and hangs well beside other California and desert prints.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Because the lettering is small, stay at 16" x 24" or above if you want it legible from across the room. 24" x 36" is the best all-round choice over furniture.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame, wired and ready to hang.
What does the poster say? The title text reads LOS ANGELES with CALIFORNIA beneath it. The word HOLLYWOOD appears only as the hillside letters inside the scene.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
