A Hokkaido lavender print for a bedroom that should feel soft and slow. Curving bands of lavender and purple, pink and white flowers roll over the hills, the distant mountains fade to purple-blue, and the sky is a warm pink. It is color laid out in gentle stripes across the land.
About the artwork
Purple, pink and white run through the flower fields in long curving bands, like the stripes a planted hillside makes from a distance. Behind them, far mountains turn purple-blue, and the sky above is pink, so the whole picture stays in one soft family of colors. Flat shapes and smooth curves give it a retro poster look. The lettering reads HOKKAIDO JAPAN and LAVENDER FIELDS, plus a short line of Japanese characters. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Stripes of flowers. The curving bands of color turn the fields into an almost abstract pattern.
- A calm color family. Purple, pink and white stay close together, which keeps the mood gentle.
- Depth without darkness. Purple-blue mountains in the distance add depth while the palette stays light.
- Made for winding down. Soft curves and a pink sky suit a room meant for rest.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above the bed in a bedroom with white, lilac-gray or pale blush walls. White or pale oak bedside tables, linen bedding and a woven throw keep the mood soft. At 24" x 36" it sits well over a queen headboard; 18" x 24" fits above a dresser or a small vanity. A white floating frame keeps the edges light. Pair it with lavender or dusty pink bedding to carry the stripes into the room.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Does it suit a bedroom? Yes. The purple, pink and white palette is soft, and the curving fields feel calm above a bed.
What size fits over a queen bed? 24" x 36" suits a queen headboard. For a king bed, 30" x 40" gives the fields more presence.
What color bedding goes with it? Lavender, dusty pink or plain white bedding picks up the flower bands. Pale gray also works if you want the print to lead.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
