This Granada Nicaragua travel poster looks down from a rooftop over a town of terracotta tiles. A pedestrian street runs away to the left, pale paving lined with white parasols, cafe tables, palms and black lamp posts. A yellow tower with a red dome stands among the roofs at the centre, and past the last houses a wide blue lake ends at a tall volcano cone.
About the artwork
The scene is drawn in flat vector planes with crisp cast shadows, which suits a roofscape: hundreds of tile ridges are built from three or four reds, from burnt orange in the sun to dark oxblood in shade. Against them the palette sets a teal sky, cobalt lake, mustard and cream facades and small dabs of green from street palms. The viewpoint is high and tilted, so the street forms a long diagonal down the left while the roofs stack toward the water. Printed in white across the sky: GRANADA above NICARAGUA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- A roofscape with real weight — the tile field takes up half the print and carries all its warmth.
- Street life at a readable scale — parasols, seated figures and lamp posts sit small but clear along the left edge.
- Red against teal — the warm tiles and the cool lake and sky do most of the work, so the print stays graphic from across a room.
- Lake and volcano behind the town — the water and the cone set Granada in its landscape rather than cropping to a facade.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Burnt orange and oxblood dominate here, so the print warms a cool room fast — it is at its best on white, chalk or pale grey walls where the tiles do not have to compete. Rooms that already carry terracotta, rust or leather pick it up naturally, and a teal or petrol-blue cushion echoes the lake. Black and walnut frames sharpen the roof lines; natural oak softens them and suits a dining wall. Hung above a cream sofa or on a landing where you pass it at close range, the small street details stay worth looking at.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this the Granada in Nicaragua or the one in Spain? Nicaragua. The artwork prints NICARAGUA under the city name, and the scene shows a lake and a volcano behind terracotta roofs rather than a Spanish hill town.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
