A St. Louis Riverfront, Gateway Arch National Park poster, drawn in the golden-age style: the full sweep of the stainless-steel Gateway Arch against a hard blue sky, with lawns falling toward the Mississippi and the St. Louis skyline low behind.
About the artwork
The eye runs up the arch’s curve, the lawns fall toward the river and the skyline sits low behind. The arch is two clean ribbons of silver and blue, the lawns flat green bands and the skyline rows of warm brick and slate. The Arch is 630 feet tall and 630 feet wide. The lettering reads “The Arch Grounds, St. Louis Riverfront, Missouri” and adds 2018, the year the park was named, with the map coordinates 38.63 N, 90.19 W.
Why you'll love it
- Clean and modern. Silver ribbons against a hard blue sky.
- Named on the sheet. Each landmark print carries its place names and map coordinates in hand-drawn lettering.
- Thirteen sizes. Paper runs from 8" x 12" up to 30" x 40", plus A4 to A1, and canvas starts at 12" x 16".
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Made for a city apartment, an office or an entry hall. Silver, blue and brick pair with gray and white; a black frame sharpens the silver.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Which size works best? 12" x 16" suits a desk wall or a hallway; 18" x 24" and up holds its own above a sofa or bed, and 30" x 40" anchors a large room.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Gateway Arch prints? This is the landmark version, built around the St. Louis riverfront with its place names and coordinates lettered on the sheet. The vintage travel poster, WPA, screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, classical oil, impasto oil, watercolor and illustrated Gateway Arch prints are separate designs.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Damage, defects & care
Every piece is printed for you after you order, so we cannot take a print back for a change of mind — please check the size and material first. Our Size Guide shows every size drawn to scale.

Keep artwork out of direct sunlight. Dust paper prints with a clean, dry cloth; wipe canvas and framed canvas gently with a clean, damp cloth. Handle paper prints by the edges until they are framed. More care tips are in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
