A Fort Wayne Indiana poster looking up at the domed county courthouse from the street corner opposite. Late afternoon sun rakes across the limestone, throwing the columns and arches into deep shadow. Mature shade trees crowd in from both sides of the frame, and an empty crosswalk and wide paved sidewalk run across the bottom under a flat, cloudless blue sky.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration with hard-edged shapes and carefully stacked shadow tones rather than gradients. The palette pairs warm cream and honey limestone against verdigris green copper on the dome, the corner cupolas and the pitched roofs. Deep olive foliage frames the building, the sky is a single flat mid-blue, and the asphalt carries cool lilac-grey shadows. Two clock faces sit on the tower drum below the ribbed dome, with a thin finial spire above. Cast-iron lamp posts and a step-up portico with a round arch fill the ground floor. Typography is thin wide capitals reading FORT WAYNE with INDIANA beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- One building, drawn properly — the dome, clock faces and cupolas are rendered in enough detail to recognise up close.
- Cream against verdigris — warm stone and green copper make an unusual colour pair that suits panelled and wood-heavy rooms.
- Street-level view — taken from the pavement across the road, not from a drone, so the scale of the building reads.
- Indiana beyond the capital — a northern Indiana civic landmark rather than another downtown skyline.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The warm limestone reads well against cream, clay or a soft olive wall, and the verdigris dome picks up any green already in the room. On the terracotta wall shown with the black frame in the photographs above, the stone turns golden. In a study or office, the walnut frame over the dining nook shows how the deep foliage tones hold their own against dark wood.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? There is a lot of carved detail in the tower, so 18" x 24" is the smallest size where it stays legible. For a main wall, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40".
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? FORT WAYNE across the top in wide capitals, with INDIANA smaller beneath. The building itself carries no lettering.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
