A Flam travel poster looking down the valley: sheer green-grey walls on both sides with waterfalls threading down them, a jade fjord arm winding away between them, and the small village and its train on the near shore.
About the artwork
A deep V, seen from a grassy shoulder high on one side. The two cliff walls close in from left and right in layered greens and cool grey, each carrying a thin white waterfall down its face, and between them the water lies jade and still before it turns into hazy blue distance. On the left bank the village is drawn small but complete: white walls, red roofs, a jetty, and a line of railway carriages standing on the track that hugs the shore. The foreground holds all the strong colour, bright yellow-green grass in long combed strokes, grey boulders scattered through it, and a clear stream tumbling over stones straight toward you at the bottom edge. Birch and pine break the slope. Light comes from behind the ridge, so the near grass runs warm and the far valley cools into blue. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Norway beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Green, not blue. A Norwegian print that leans on grass and moss instead of the usual cold fjord palette.
- Waterfalls on both walls. Thin white threads that give the cliffs their scale once you notice them.
- The train is in there. A row of carriages beside the village, small enough that people find it later.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The depth in it does real work on a wall, so give it a long sightline: the end of a corridor, the far side of a living room, above a sofa where you see it from across the space. Warm white, oatmeal and sage walls hold the greens, and oak, wool and stoneware sit naturally with it. A natural oak frame follows the grass, espresso grounds it. Go large and pair it with the Geirangerfjord and Trolltunga prints if you want a wall of Norwegian rock and water.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Is that a train in the picture? Yes, a short line of carriages standing on the shoreline track beside the village, drawn at the same small scale as the houses.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
