A Crater Lake National Park vintage travel poster, printed full bleed: Wizard Island in the sapphire caldera, with snowy rim cliffs mirrored in the water and an overhanging tree framing the top left. White lettering reads ESTABLISHED MAY 22, 1902 across the top and CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK at the foot, around the National Park Service bison seal.
About the artwork
The foreground tree frames the top and left edges, and the eye drops across the glassy lake to the island’s cinder cone and the snowy rim behind. Most of the sheet is blue, which gives it a cool, still feel. At 1,943 feet, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States, fed almost entirely by rain and snow.
Why you'll love it
- Cool and clean. Sapphire and snow white suit modern living rooms, blue bedrooms and calm offices.
- Lines up in a grid. Every poster in this series shares the same full-bleed layout and white lettering, so several parks hang cleanly side by side.
- Standard poster proportions. The 2:3 sizes drop straight into ready-made frames, from 8" x 12" to 24" x 36".
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 24" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 18" to 24" x 36".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 18" to 24" x 36".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Give it white, pale gray or soft blue walls and a bit of natural wood. It pairs well with other lake and mountain prints; a white frame keeps it crisp, oak adds warmth.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 16" x 24" and up if it hangs alone; 12" x 18" works inside a gallery wall of several parks.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Crater Lake prints? This is the full-bleed vintage travel poster: Wizard Island in the deep blue caldera. The WPA poster, screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, oil, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Crater Lake prints in the shop are separate designs.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
