A Coney Island boardwalk poster that looks south-west down the Brooklyn shoreline at the end of the day. The red steel parachute tower stands over the timber pier, the amusement ride frames sit low against the skyline behind it, and a long curve of foam runs up wet sand while the sea holds the last of the light.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration built from hard-edged shapes and banded gradients, with no outlines. The sky moves from a muted sage green at the top through apricot to a pale peach at the horizon, with cream cumulus clouds stacked on the right. The tower is drawn in coral red lattice, fine enough to read as steel. The sea is teal green, striped with cream foam lines; the sand is warm buff and rose. Typography is set in white capitals: CONEY ISLAND large across the top, NEW YORK CITY beneath it in smaller letterspaced caps. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- A Brooklyn beach, not a Manhattan skyline — the side of New York that people actually spend summer weekends on.
- Warm and cool in one frame — apricot sky against a green-teal sea, so it works with both warm and cool rooms.
- One clear focal point — the red tower reads instantly from across a room, even at the smaller sizes.
- Quiet enough to live with — an empty morning beach rather than a crowded midway.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The apricot and coral in this print pick up terracotta and clay walls, like the sideboard setting in the photographs above. Against the sage green room it goes the other way and the teal sea does the work instead. In a bedroom, an oak or natural frame keeps the sand tones warm; black frames sharpen the tower and suit a white or panelled wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Over a sideboard or a console, 18" x 24" holds the wall without crowding it. Above a bed or sofa, go to 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" so the pier and the foam line stay readable from the other side of the room.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas is a stretched canvas set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, and arrives with hanging hardware fitted.
What does the poster say? Two lines of white capitals: CONEY ISLAND across the top, with NEW YORK CITY set smaller directly below it. No other text appears on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
