A Manarola travel poster of the Cinque Terre cliff village: coral, salmon and ochre houses stacked tight up the rock, terraces and bougainvillea spilling over the walls, and the headland dropping straight into turquoise water breaking white on the rocks below.
About the artwork
Two halves in tension. The upper half is dense and warm — dozens of individually drawn facades in coral, salmon, apricot, cream and faded green, with shutters, awnings and washing lines picked out at small scale. The lower half is cold and open: grey fractured rock, deep turquoise sea, and white surf drawn as hard-edged foam shapes rather than soft spray. That drop from crowded warmth to empty cold is what gives the print its depth. Cumulus opens on the right against a pale sky. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Italy beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Colour without chaos. Every house is a different shade, but they all sit in one narrow coral-to-ochre family, so it reads as harmony rather than noise.
- Detail that rewards a close look. Shutters, stairs, terrace vines — there is something new in it after weeks on a wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The coral tones make this a kitchen and dining room print more than a bedroom one — it reads as appetite and daylight. It sits well on cream, warm white and pale terracotta walls, and it is the right piece to hang where you eat rather than where you sleep. Keep the frame plain; the facades are already doing the decorative work. At 16" x 24" the individual houses stay legible.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Which of the five villages is this? Manarola, seen from the coastal path looking back at the village and the sea below it.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
