A Charlotte North Carolina poster that looks across the treetops into Uptown: the tall ribbed tower with a crown-shaped top at the centre, a broad glass high-rise at the right whose roof is cut back into a sharp triangular notch, a small green cupola on a stone-clad block below, and a dense park canopy filling the whole bottom third.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration built from hard-edged planes, with each facade split into two or three tonal steps rather than shaded gradually. The colour is almost entirely blue-green: teal and steel blue on the glass, pale cyan and cream where sunlight catches the west faces, and a plain turquoise sky with faint contrail lines drawn across it. The foreground reverses that with warm yellow-greens and olive in the tree canopy, a mown lawn and a path just visible between the crowns. Type at the top reads CHARLOTTE with NORTH CAROLINA beneath it in lighter capitals. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Two towers you can name on sight — the crown top and the notched glass roof are what make this skyline Charlotte's.
- Trees first, buildings second — the park canopy takes a full third of the print, which is how the city actually looks from the ground.
- Teal and green — a cool skyline over a warm canopy, two clean colour zones with a hard line between them.
- Calm for an office — strong vertical structure without visual noise.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Teal glass and leaf green want a cool or neutral wall: white, pale grey or the sage room in the photographs above, where the canopy greens are picked up directly. On a warm beige wall the turquoise sky comes forward and the print reads brighter. A black frame suits the skyline geometry; natural oak softens it.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The tower details read well from 16" x 24" up. Behind a desk or over a sofa, 24" x 36" gives the canopy room to breathe.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and rolled. Matte canvas arrives stretched and ready to hang. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? CHARLOTTE across the top with NORTH CAROLINA in smaller capitals below. No building names or logos appear on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
