A Charles Bridge travel poster from downstream at the water's edge: the bridge crossing the whole width of the frame on its stone arches, statues standing along the parapet, the castle and cathedral spires on the hill behind, and the Vltava in front broken into sheets of low-sun glitter.
About the artwork
A warm-cool split: everything above the waterline is lit in honey and pale gold, everything below is steel blue. The bridge is drawn arch by arch with the cutwaters, the balustrade and each small statue silhouette in place, and the hill behind it stacks three layers of roofline — townhouses, palace wings, then the cathedral's dark spires — without any of them blurring together. The river carries the technical work: drawn star glints in dense clusters where the sun hits, thinning as the water moves toward the viewer, with rounded boulders breaking the surface in the near foreground. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Czech Republic beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Golden hour, not midday. The warm stone against cold water is what makes the image, and it is a light most Prague prints miss.
- The whole skyline in one shot. Bridge, castle and cathedral all read clearly.
- Half the frame is water. The glitter gives the lower half real interest.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Honey stone over steel-blue water is a balanced pairing, which makes this an easy print to place — it works on white, warm grey and clay walls alike. Brass and walnut both pick up the gold in the stone; a black frame sharpens the skyline. It is a good living room or dining room piece, and because the composition is horizontal in feel despite the portrait format, it sits comfortably above a sideboard.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? From the riverbank downstream of the bridge, looking back at it with the castle hill rising behind.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
